Second CORALIS application note – focus on multilayer depth scan
Over the last few months we have intensified the application work on our combined RAMAN-LIBS system CORALIS. The latest measurements have been focused on depth profiling for multi-layer samples, especially on car paint coatings. Repetitive LIBS measurements enable us to drill into the material while taking continuously spectra. After recognizing a new layer, we can take additionally RAMAN spectra to increase the value of information.
This easy-to-use fast combination of analytical techniques promises a new quality of information, for example in forensics.
